How to sell things on ebay, or Craigslist?

Ok times are tough. I have to make due until times IE a full time jobs comes my way. I traveled with the military, for 20yrs. I collected paintings, hand made Oriental Rugs, wool and silk, 200 beanie babies, over 1,000 comics, 500 matchbox cars, and more. I also found from my mom stuff, avon, and liquor bottles of perfume, and liquor in shapes of things, like cars, boats, people, etc. How do I sell these things? Everyone I talk to say it is som easy, anyone can do it. No big deal. But then you see on the news or court shows of people who get screwed selling things on ebay, or craigslist. What is the easiest, way to do this, and make the best money?

Well… it’s not something that someone can teach you properly on a yahoo answer. There are guides and books on how to do it. I personally worked many years to achieve the perfect listing and I always end up making more money than other people who are selling the same stuff. I would teach you everything if we lived near, because I hope that if I help someone with something then one day someone else will help me. At the moment I can tell you some of the most important things:
- Send the stuff immediately, if you send it immediately people will leave you a positive feedback and then your future customers will read it and buy from you rather than from someone else.
- Make a honest description.
- Make your listing end on a Sunday night (from 6pm to 9pm is ok) because most of the people are home and willing to spend time on the computer. During the week most of the people are at work and they will not have time to buy on ebay. People like to bid 5 minutes before the end of the auction so most people will not bid three days in advance from the office (if they are allowed to!).
- Insert the BEST pictures that you can. I personally make at least 4/5 pictures per item, I work them with photoshop. Using ebay you have to pay for each photo that you post, but if you use an external website (basically using html if you are good with it) you don’t have to pay for anything for posting all your photos. People tend to post only one picture because they don’t want to pay, but I understand that not all people are good with html. Don’t use other’s people photos, it’s against ebay rules and not nice.
- Write as much as possible on the title. Write your title in capital letters. It stands out (even if you are “shouting”)

Basically, you have to make your listings stand out. If you have many things to sell it’s worth learning how to use ebay properly, so you can make some money out of it. If you are only selling a couple of things don’t bother learning how to use ebay properly. I can honestly tell you that if you use good pictures, you are going to sell for more than the other people. Here is the link of one of my listings. I am not posting it to show you “how cool I am” (there are far better listings than mines!) but just to give you an idea (actually this listing is not having much success at the moment… lol):

If you find any mistake in this reply is because English is not my first language. I am trying my best!
Bye.
